Why Financing a Repair Often Costs Less Than Waiting
Deferred repairs get more expensive, not less. A small coolant seep that costs a few hundred dollars today can turn into a head gasket if you let it go. Worn brake pads that were a routine job become rotors and calipers down the road. Financing exists so a tight month doesn't turn into a much bigger repair bill three months from now.
We quote the work first, always. You get a written estimate with parts and labor broken out, you approve it, and only then do we talk payment. If the total is more than you planned for, say so. Your advisor will walk you through the plans below, including what the repair actually costs per month.
Financed work carries the same service standards and the same 24-month / 24,000-mile nationwide warranty as anything else we do.
Financing Plans and Their Terms
Here are the repair-financing programs independent shops like ours use most, with the terms each provider publishes. Rates, approval amounts, and promotional windows are set by the lender and can change, so check the current offer with your service advisor before you apply.
Synchrony Car Care
Revolving credit card- Promotional financing on qualifying purchases of $199 or more, with 6 months to pay
- Deferred interest: pay the full promotional balance within the promo period or interest is charged from the purchase date
- Standard variable purchase APR applies to balances outside a promotion
- Hard credit inquiry at application; approval and credit line set by Synchrony Bank
- Reusable card accepted at hundreds of thousands of auto, fuel, and tire locations nationwide
Sunbit
Pay over time, 3 to 12 months- Fixed monthly payments over 3, 6, or 12 months
- No late fees and no penalty for paying the balance off early
- Soft credit check to see your options, so checking eligibility does not affect your score
- Approval decision in about 30 seconds from your phone at the service counter
- APR and down payment depend on the plan you select; total cost is shown before you sign
Snap Finance
Lease-to-own, no credit needed- Approval amounts commonly up to $5,000 for qualified applicants
- No credit history required; decisions use income and banking data instead of a FICO score
- 100-day early purchase option that cuts the total cost significantly versus the full lease term
- Payments are scheduled around your pay cycle
- This is a lease-purchase agreement, not a loan, so the total of payments exceeds the repair price if you run the full term
All financing is provided by third-party lenders and is subject to their credit approval, terms, and applicable state law. Blue Ridge Automotive - European & Domestic does not lend money, set rates, or make approval decisions. Review each provider’s agreement in full before you sign.
How Financing Works at Our Shops
1. Diagnose and estimate
Bring the car to Buckhead, Chamblee, Decatur, or Marietta. We diagnose the actual fault rather than guessing from a code, then send a written estimate with parts and labor itemized.
2. Choose how to pay
Approve the work and tell your advisor if you would like to finance it. They will confirm which programs are active that day and what your monthly payment would look like.
3. Apply at the counter or from your phone
Applications take a few minutes. Sunbit and Snap Finance decisions come back almost immediately; Synchrony issues a credit line if approved.
4. We do the work, warranty included
Once the plan is set, the repair goes ahead the same as any other job, backed by our 24-month / 24,000-mile nationwide warranty on parts and labor.
